This week was the 7th, so it's time to catch up on what's happening with City of Mist!
DIDN'T BACK FOR IT? HERE'S A GIFT CODE
As you'll read below, City of Mist is rolling out so many awesome new expansions and accessories. If you backed for any of these, you will get them when they ship in July (don't worry, we'll ask for an address update in advance).

With Shadows & Showdowns and Nights of Payne Town in the process of printing, we are preparing to wrap up the City of Mist kickstarters. It's been a long path, fraught with delays, but we're very excited about the content-packed books and stunning accessories we will be soon sharing with you.
Other than S&S and NoPT, we will soon be releasing the sixth District PDF, Sunken City! Later this year, we will announce more City of Mist content, but for now let's revel in the neon-fest that is the expansions!

THE DECK OF LEGENDS IS COMING!
Long long ago, in a kingdom far far away, we had our first Kickstarter and unlocked a small but important stretch goal product which we never got to produce: the Deck of Legends. We're happy to announce that it is now printing with the rest of the expansions!
This pack of 40 cards covers forty of the most villainous Dangers from Nights of Payne Town, which you can use as part of the NoPT story arc campaign or in your own story line. Each card has gorgeous City of Mist art and all the information you need: Mythos, Logos, description, spectrums as well as custom, hard, and soft moves.
If you backed for the Deck of Legends in the original campaign, you'll get it - of course. If you didn't, use the BACKERSOFMIST gift code for backers to get a discount and reserve your copy.
THE CRIME BOARD MAP
The Nights of Payne TownCrime Board Map is another gem we're proud of: not only does it include a large (33" X 25.5") City "detective" map that you can - and should - mount on your wall, but it also includes an envelope with dozens of clues and handouts that follow the Nights of Payne Town story arc. There is no better way to immerse your crew in the investigation than pinning those clues up on the map and connecting them with red thread!
The Crime Board Map comes exclusively with the "Into The Mist" Slipcase set, which includes S&S and NoPT. If you got only one of the books or didn't get the slipcase set and you want to upgrade, you can do so by contacting us via the website (don't forget to include your backer number), via BackerKit, or message us here.

AUSTRALIA SHIPPING STATUS
Fulfillment in Australia is finally complete! If you are an Australian or New-Zealand backer waiting for your Starter Box package, you should get it within a week or so if you haven't already. This has been immensely delayed by mostly Covid-related circumstances beyond our control (container shortage, the long trip by sea, backlogged ports, and understaffed fulfillment centers); still, we are reworking our shipping plan to avoid such delays in the shipment coming this July.

Nights of Payne Town Is Complete; Expansions Going to Print!

Hello there, cinematic heroes masked by the mundane!
This update is released a couple of days late so we can give you the exciting news that the writing of Nights of Payne Town is done which means Nights of Payne Town (Cases), Shadows & Showdowns (Expansion), the Crime Board Map, and the "Into The Mist" slipcase are all going to print!
If you pledged for NoPT, your DriveThruRPG PDF is already updated with case #8, Home Is Where the Heart Is, and, by the end of the week, it should be updated again with case #9, The Streets Bleed Neon, which will complete the book! Later this month, we will update the PDF with the final version, including indexes and the backer list.
WHEN ARE THE PRINTED BOOKS COMING?
We already have a printer lined up for all the remaining Kickstarter items. We'll spend the next week or two preparing the books (NoPT and S&S) for print and wrapping up accessory projects like the Crime Board Map, which will come complete with evidence pins tailored for the Nights of Payne Town campaign! We're also looking at printing a Deck of Legends based on the Nights of Payne Town Dangers for the original campaign, more updates on that soon. If all goes smoothly, the new items should be shipping in late May to June 2021.
I can't begin to explain how grateful I am to all of you fans of the game who stuck by us through this very prolonged development (the reasons for which we explained in previous updates). Thank you so much! We know that you are going to LOVE what these books pack inside them and get tons of cinematic roleplaying out of them!
This next shipping round will complete all the fulfillment for this Kickstarter. We still have a couple of smaller PDFs in the works from the Nights of Payne Town Kickstarter, but they will be published before the print items.

The 7th installment in Nights of Payne Town, Albion Awakens, is out to backers and pre-orders. In this first case of the Criminal Vein, your crew will battle - or join - a gang of gallant two-wheeled knights trying to change the City and make it into a magical kingdom! If you pledged for Nights of Payne Town, your DriveThruRPG file is already updated. Message us at [email protected] or here on Kickstarter if you have had any issues.
FINAL DEADLINE FOR NIGHTS OF PAYNE TOWN ANNOUNCED
As we announced in the comments, we have the final deadline for Nights of Payne Town: the end of this month. In other words, if you backed for NoPT, you'll have the full PDF book by the next update on the 7th of March, and we'll be going to print with Nights of Payne Town, Shadows & Showdowns, the Crime Board Map, and the Into The Mist slipcase (and possible more). Shipping is currently slated for May 2021.
SHIPPING DELAYS IN UK, CANADA, AUSTRALIA
For different reasons, including Covid-19, Brexit, fulfillment center congestion, and port congestion, packages to the UK, Canada, and Australia have been greatly delayed (over 7 weeks since shipping started in December). We are deeply sorry for the situation and are grateful for your patience; unfortunately, these are global issues completely out of our control. Please rest assured, however, that your packages are on their way and should arrive within the next month. We are in constant contact with the shipping center to ensure everyone gets their ordered items.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's a day after the 7th so it's time for a fresh new update.
SHIPPING UPDATE
Most of the December shipping (Starter Boxes, Folio Packs, Core Books & Sets, Accessories, Dice) to the US, UK, and Europe has been completed, except for a handful of packages with pending issues. Canada packages are making their way there and should start shipping next week, while the Australia and New-Zealand center will get the items and start shipping locally around the end of January.
For those still awaiting packages, thank you so much for you patience. The world is going through the strangest of times and current events have affected the shipping times badly; sometimes it takes us days to get specific answers on where each item is. However, 99% of the packages make it safely to their backers, and we handle the last 1%, so rest assured your stuff will arrive as fast as possible. If you can, please wait for your package another week before sending an email -- it may alreadybe on its way to you. We appreciate your help.

S&S AND NoPT UPDATE
In the last update, we announced we'd be releasing Percival (Case #10 in Nights of Payne Town) ahead of Cases #7-9 to allows those playing the story arc to continue their campaigns. The overarching case then got delayed due the shipping operation, the holidays, and my sincere desire to write a worthy conclusions to the story arc, which led to several rewrites. It is now finally going through last touches of layout and should be added the NoPT file in the next few days (watch for it on DriveThruRPG). I will be continuing with the writing of the remaining cases starting this weekend, and we hope to release the next one before the end of the month.
WHAT'S IN STORE FOR CITY OF MIST IN 2021?
We have great plans for City of Mist in 2021 and who better to share those with than our backers! Some of the things on our list are:
Top Priority: the upcoming print run and shipping of Shadows & Showdowns, Nights of Payne Town, map, and the new slipcase
Launching a creator marketplace for CoM where you can share and sell your cases, story arcs, Danger profiles, hacks, and more. We will be releasing free templates of CoM graphic designs to help you create high-quality PDFs that feel and read like CoM products.
Omer and the team will be working on new releases: the district book Local Legends and, with some luck, The Riot book (which didn't make it into S&S), exploring the possibility of the Fall of the Mist.
Yours truly will be working on a possible City of Mist graphic novel and later playtesting and honing the new game system that evolved from CoM (top secret for now).
We are very excited about what this year will bring, and we are excited that you are here to share it with us! We wish you all a Happy New Year with many mysteries and showdowns in the streets of the City.

Hi there sleuths with magical souls,
It's the 7th so here's a quick update on our progress:
Shipping start today for the Starter Box, Character Folio Pack, and some dice, after both US and UK warehouses have received and processed the shipment. We're also shipping all remaining Core Sets, Player's Guides, MC Toolkits, and accessories. You will receive tracking info by email but watch your mailbox. If you didn't pick up the Starter Box or the Character Pack or if you want to gift it to a friend you can do so at the store; if you get both, you'll get an accessory gift of your choice!
We just sent youthe Soundtrack for the Starter Box, titled "All-Seeing Eye Investigations" via DriveThruRPG! I love how composer & backer Christopher Thomas Richardson captured the main themes of the Starter Box in 5 tracks that you can play in the background for your game. Check it out!
We continue to work on Nights of Payne Town, still with the setbacks described in the previous update. Based on feedback from the community, we decided to release Percival, the overarching case, ahead of the upcoming Criminal Vein so that those of you playing from PDFs can connect the published Personal and Mystical vein and begin the greater NoPT story arc. Percival should be ready next week. Do you already recognize some of the faces on the cover?
Yesterday we streamed the 2nd part of theDanger creation workshop, as part of the preparation for the City of Mist creator marketplace, where you can share and sell your CoM content. Check out the first and second parts on our YouTube Channel.
